Description of the cabin

From our house you have a great view over meadows and stonewalls. The house is renovated completely in 2018 and 2019. There are two bedrooms, an open living room connected to a well equipped kitchen. In the center of the house there is an open fireplace and a cozy sitting area in front.

You will find many different sitting areas in our beautiful garden and in the evening you can enjoy our enclosed glass patio with infra heating.

Of course we also have TV, WIFI and a lot of outdoor and indoor games free for you to use. The children like the open space in the front of the house to play football and inside the cabin we have Lego and family games to enjoy.

The house is at the end of a small forest road and lies very private but not isolated. To the closest neighbor it is 75 m, you can see three other neighbors across the fields.

To The lake it is 500 m and there you can use our small rowing boat free of charge. It is cheap to buy a fishing license and the lake is good for both fishing and swimming.
There are lots of mushrooms and berries in the forests around the cabin and the surroundings are very nice just to hike or bike in.

It is not permitted to charge the electric car at the cabin.

Non-normal electricity consumption may be charged.

The minimum rental period is 3 nights.

Tourists attractions

Main activities are swimming, fishing, forest and nature in the immediate vicinity of the cabin. Nearby is also the farm "Topperyd" with sheep, chickens and piglets as well as a café and shop as well as another farm shop.

Bedroom 1 is a standard double bedroom. Bedroom 2 has a bunk bed where the bottom bed is 140 cm wide and the folds are 105 cm. It is therefore possible to lie 2 people in the lower bed.

	Sebastian K. (Görlitz) Date: 13.08.2023 5 / 5 We stayed in holiday home 2450 for two weeks in August 2022 and were not really lucky with the weather. But that doesn't matter at all if you live in this great house. It is so lovingly designed and furnished that we never felt uncomfortable. On the contrary, when it has really rained outside and you are sitting in the heated conservatory, it is really cozy. In addition, the house is also conveniently located and within an hour you can reach super nice destinations such as Gränna (the capital of candy canes) and thus also the second largest lake in Sweden Vättern with the postcard island Visingsö. But also Vimmerby, Moose Park Skullaryd (highly recommended) and Skurugata, the wild and romantic gorge for hiking... The house is located in the middle of forests where in our case there are extremely many porcini mushrooms and Karl Johan mushrooms, blueberries and lingonberries. A boat with a fishing license is available at Lake Kansjö. Unfortunately we didn't catch anything but that was probably due to the weather. The lake is said to be full of fish. The lake is not suitable for swimming, but there are a lot of swimming spots in the area. The owner of the cabin and his family spend a lot of time in the house and you can tell by the loving design. There's a lot of work involved. One should be aware that it is a quiet place to relax even with children. If you appreciate that, you've come to the right place. We will be back.

We found everything we needed in the house and on the property, the facilities were very good, there were plenty of opportunities for the children to play and it was very clean and modern. You can see very clearly that this is not a house that is exclusively intended for vacation guests, but that the landlord has built it according to his personal needs, a very personal atmosphere. There is plenty of room to spread out without getting on each other's nerves, in the typical Swedish, mixed August weather. Special highlight: the heated patio / conservatory, which makes it possible to have breakfast comfortably "outside" at sunny 8 ° C or enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine. That one of the bedrooms (the "children's room") had an opaque curtain instead of a lockable door was strange from the beginning, but at the same time cozy and did not bother us. The lake (Kansjön) seemed more suitable for anglers (which we are not), other lakes in the area are more suitable as a swimming lake (Fredriksdalasjön 6.5 km or Storsjön 13 km), both of which can be easily reached by bike. We were not disturbed by the neighboring houses which were at a good distance. The wind turbines, which were already named negatively in other comments (can be found very often in this region), could only be heard acoustically extremely rarely and were then very low (with the corresponding wind direction), so in no way disturbing. The drinking water is pumped up from great depths, it is very good and soft. The contact to the landlord both via e-mail in advance and by mobile phone and in person during the stay was always friendly and attentive.
