There’s very good fishing both in the ocean and the lakes in Östergötland. The ocean offers its mighty water and its range, while Lake Vättern, the second largest lake in Sweden, has 31 fish species. Here in Lake Vättern you can fish popular fish species such as char, trout, salmon, pike, perch, grayling, pikeperch, burbot and even crayfish. The most common fishing methods for professionals and recreational anglers are fishing with a rod, angling and fly fishing.
Östergötland is located in southern Sweden, bordering the province of Småland in the south, Västergötland through Lake Vättern in the west, Södermanland and Närke in the north and the Baltic Sea in the east.

Göta Canal, which is one of the largest cultural construction projects in Sweden's history, runs through Östergötland throughout Sweden. It can be a nice destination for you who rent a cabin and it is generally a popular tourist destination to visit during vacation. The canal was originally built as a freight route in Sweden, but today it is an international tourist attraction. You can travel by boat in the canal with one of the tourist boats or rent your own leisure boat, some cabins have a boat that is included in the rental.
The locks in the village of Berg are unique in themselves, but the area offers more than that, a fantastic environment. Here you can curiously watch and follow the boats that are locked in the lock stairs. There are a total of 11 locks in Berg.
Vadstena Castle is a well-preserved and beautiful castle with a view of Lake Vättern, the second largest lake in Sweden. Around the castle there is a moat that is also used as a marina, it is a popular destination among tourists.

A tip for all of you who rent a cabin, especially families with children, is Kolmården's Zoo with Dolphinarium and Safari Park. Kolmården is the Nordic region's largest zoo. One of the largest vacation and holiday destinations in Sweden with dolphin shows, several roller coasters, attractions, animals from around the world and the theme park Bamse's World.

Linköping Castle offers an exciting medieval museum dating from the 12th century. Opposite Linköping Castle at S: t Persgatan is Linköping Cathedral. The church is the second largest church building in Sweden.
Motala stream is a river in Östergötland, it flows from Lake Vättern to the Baltic Sea. Motala current total length is about 100 km from Lake Vättern to the Baltic Sea. fishing and canoeing , among other things, are very popular among our tourists.
