The Province of Halland
Our cabins in Halland are located on the west coast of southwest Sweden. Halland is located north of Skåne, west of Småland and southwest of Västergötland and borders the sea area Kattegat. The province of Halland is 5710 km2 in size and has 278,000 inhabitants.
Halland has a beautiful nature that is characterized by the wonderful ocean environment. Halland is a place in Sweden that offers many activities for the whole family. Everything from crab fishing to shopping at Gekås in Ullared is available.
Fishing in Halland
In the inland of Halland, there are many lakes that offers great fishing. Waters plenty with fish, such as Lagan, famous for Salmon and Trout fishing. If you want to fish in the ocean, we have a number of cabins for rent near the coast and there you will find fantastic beaches with both ocean fishing, swimming and other recreation. The crab fishing in Sweden is at its best on the West Coast.
Sights and activities
Within easy reach you will find famous sights such as Varberg Fortress, Tjolöholm Castle and Mjellby Art Museum. There are also many other attractions that are well worth a visit and we at the cabin agency recommends, such as Tiraholms Fish in Unnaryd, the sheep farm Öströö in Åkulla, Gösta's Café in Steninge and Skårs Gård in Kungsbacka.

Kattegat trail
If you want to explore more than the tranquility of your rental cabin, Sweden's first national bicycle path is located in Halland. The Kattegat trail, which is 370 km long with a fantastic location close to the ocean along the coast of Halland. The trail runs between Gothenburg in the north to Helsingborg in the south and while you’re riding on the bike trail you will pass many interesting places worth a visit.
