We are renting out our vacation idyll to guests looking for accommodation in a quiet, secluded location with room for many (19 beds in total). The house is fantastically located with a 4000m2 lake yard and a panoramic view of Lake Vänern. Own dock, swimming area, swimming raft and soaking tub mean that it is never far for you to take a dip. Enjoy warm summer evenings and sunsets over Lake Vänern. The large, open areas invite both ball games and large groups. There is also the possibility to set up a camper and motorhome. There are a total of five patios in different directions with associated garden furniture.
The accommodation consists of Storstugan, Sjöstugan and Tallen as well as storage buildings.
The main building (Storstugan) is over 100 years old and has been carefully renovated to a modern standard with a toilet, shower and broadband. In the large cabins' living room, there is a long table with room for 12 people. With six beds for adults and four for children spread over three bedrooms - there is room for many here!
Right next to the water there is also a small cabin, called Tallen, with two more sleeping places for adults.
The lake cabin, or Sjöstugan in Swedish, is directly adjacent to the dock and swimming area with lake views in two directions. It is pleasantly furnished and has a toilet, shower and broadband. The cabin has two bedrooms, a kitchen/living room with a table for eight people and a bathroom. Shower, with hot water, is in the same building, but with a separate entrance by the soaking tub. There are seven sleeping places, two of which are suitable for children/young adults. Both houses have a simple summer cabin standard but are still well equipped.
Storstugan (the main house):

Lower floor: Kitchen, WC. Bathroom/laundry room with shower. Bedroom no. 1: Double bed. Living room.
Upper floor: Bedroom no. 2: double bed + junior bed. Bedroom no. 3: double bed + junior bed. TV room: bunk bed.
Amenities: Electric stove, Refrigerator, Freezer (in outdoor storage), Coffee maker, Microwave oven, Washing machine, Vacuum cleaner. Air source heating pump/AC.
Tallen (The pine tree):
Living area 10 square meters. Family bed.
Sjöstugan (The lake cabin):
Living area 40 square meters. TV, broadband, hot and cold water.
Kitchen/living room, table with eight seats. WC and shower. Bedroom no. 1: Double bed + overhead bed 105cm. Bedroom no. 2: Double bed + 2 bunk beds for children/youth.
Amenities: Refrigerator, Coffee maker Microwave oven, Vacuum cleaner. Air source heating pump/AC.
Outdoors: Yard 4000 m2. 5 Patios in different directions with associated garden furniture (one of which is under roof) Enclosed terrace with infrared heating.
Pets not allowed We do not rent to people under 25 years of age.
The house is located in an area rich in history (Kinnekulle) with beautiful medieval churches, stately manors and estates, cafes and restaurants. For the active, there are hiking trails but also fine mountain bike trails that can be connected to directly from the property. The small town of Lidköping is nearby, as is Lake Vänern's second largest island, Kållandsö, where the 700-year-old baroque castle Läckö castle is a popular excursion destination.
