This lovely cabin in the province of Västergötland is located in a beautiful and natural area right next to both Lake Vänern and the Göta water Canal.
In front of the cabin there is a large terrace with garden furniture and a barbeque grill. You have a beautiful view from the terrace of both the Göta water Canal and Lake Vänern which is only a few meters away.
It is only 100 meters to a fine sandy beach. Excellent fishing.
You can rent bicycles from the landlord.
We also offer boat trips in a motor/sailboat.
It's best if you order these additional services when booking the cabin or before you arrive.
Security deposit 1000 SEK and is provided on arrival.
Göta water canal, Sweden's longest built structure with its 58 locks, is one of the world's most beautiful waterways.
In Sjötorp there are illuminated exercise tracks where you can ski when there is snow. You can also usually walk, ride a bike or some places drive along the canal.
In Lyrestad (7 km from Sjötorp) there are also lighted ski trails and a small ski / bobsled run for the children.
In Otterbäcken (10 km from Sjötorp) there is an artificial ice rink.
You can have a climate-smart vacation when you stay in this cabin, you can also travel to the vicinity of this vacation home without a car, and you can travel to the cabin using public transportation.
Bus.
The bus stop is only a few hundred meters from the cabin.
Train.
You can take the train to Mariestad or to Töreboda.
It is 20 kilometers to both places, and from there the owner can pick you up by car through arrangement.
Boat
It is only a few hundred meters from the harbor in Sjötorp.
You can fish In Lake Vänern, there is almost all fish species in the lake.
In early spring and fall Trolling is very common from boats.
In the summer you'll fish with a fishing rod, or a cast rod, for perch, pike, pikeperch and whitefish.
Right by the cabin you can fish / angle from the jetty. In the lake, all fishing from a boat is allowed and free of charge if you are 300 m. from land.
