Description of the cabin

Typical of Småland are the idyllic red wooden houses with white trimmings. The cabin is located in an idyllic small village, without traffic and noise, close to nature between two lakes. Large forests with blueberries and mushrooms. There are only a few neighbors. In front of the cabin there is a patio with garden furniture and barbeque grill and a private garden. To Lake Rusken it is only 450 meters, the lake is suitable for both swimming and fishing. To a swimming area it is 700 meters. Rowing boat and life jackets are included in the price as well as bicycles.

Mandatory final cleaning fee SEK 550:- payable on arrival. Electricity is added with SEK 2 / kwh

The province of Småland is the most famous region for summer cabin vacations. Smålands large selection of attractions is what many guests from all over the world appreciate with this province. Close to a museum railway that runs in the summer and is a popular family fun. The Kingdom of Glass. Astrid Lindgren's World about 2 hours by car. Västernstaden High Chaparral about 50 km. Värnamo ca. 20 km.

	Kim v. (Geervliet) Date: 08.08.2025 3 / 5 The owner was very nice and there is a lot to do in the area. We loved the rowing boat. We regularly saw an osprey on the lake and once the sea eagle! Only three stars because the house smelled like smoke and wasn't the cleanest (impossible with so many rugs and blankets) BUT we had a lot of fun at this house. It was like living in a 1950–70's house, so it felt a bit like a museum and there's so much to discover here. We played games like: how many candle holders can you find (we found 50) and 'yes or no: is there a golden pineapple in this house?' (Yes there is!).

	Hannah H. (Kirchdorf) Date: 22.06.2025 4 / 5 The house is very beautiful, spacious, and really stylishly furnished. The fireplace is great – especially during the bad weather we had in the first few days, it was very cozy to sit in front of it. The hostess is very nice and friendly. The area is ideal for day trips in all directions. You can walk to the lake, and there is also a boat available. Unfortunately, the house was quite dirty and had a strong smell of smoke – which surprised us a bit, as most rentals these days are non-smoking. We couldn't get rid of the smell throughout the week. Electricity is charged separately, which we were aware of, but we were told we used 200 kWh in seven days, which seemed like a lot. According to our car app, we charged our hybrid vehicle with 70 kWh during the week – meaning we used 130 kWh otherwise, even though we weren’t in the house that much. It was our holiday, so we didn’t want to argue – but future guests might appreciate knowing this.

Unfortunately, the house was not cleaned or was cleaned badly (paper on the floor behind the bed, cobwebs, some pots/pans not cleaned, etc.). The furnishings of the house take some getting used to.
