Description of the cabin

Nice winterized cabin, with a quiet location between a forest and a lake in Skärseryd in the province of Småland in Sweden. You can spot another cabin, about 150 m away, otherwise it is 1 km to the nearest neighbor.

In front of the cabin you have a lovely terrace and garden with garden furniture and a barbeque grill. Two guest cabins are included in the price. It is only 75 m to the lake and here is also a rowing boat that you can use. The lake is suitable for both swimming and fishing, no fishing license is required for fishing in the lake.

To a child-friendly beach it is about 7 km. Life jackets and bicycles are available to borrow. Ljungby about 35 km.

About fishing

In the area there are many nice fishing lakes. You can buy a fishing license that is valid for 5 lakes for about SEK 250, but it is free fishing in the lake by the cabin.

The owner is more than accommodating and helpful in any situation. A big thank you to our landlord. With our luck we saw a bull moose from the terrace across from the lake. Who watched us suspiciously for almost 20 minutes. When we left, we were allowed to accompany a moose towards Lake Skärsjön before she disappeared back into the forest. An experience that we enjoyed very much. Thanks to the moose! We will keep this holiday in our best memory and will definitely come back again when the time is right. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone involved for this beautiful week.

Otherwise there are no complaints. The second boat located on a larger lake must be rented. You also have to get the oars and a fishing license first. But you can say it was a great holiday all round.
