A small, picturesque cottage in the countryside, yet still close to the town of Eskilstuna. The low ceiling makes the cottage especially cosy. The cottage is 65 m² and has been completely renovated, including a modern fully tiled bathroom. The nearest grocery store is about 5 minutes away by car. There are several grocery shops nearby, including Willys, Lidl, ICA Ekängen and ICA Maxi a little further away.
The cottage is located in Stenkvista, just outside Eskilstuna, on the same plot as the owner’s house. It is situated by the edge of the forest, close to woodland and nature in the province of Södermanland.
There are hens on the farm, which means you have the possibility to enjoy fresh eggs for breakfast every morning.
On the lawn, in a raised garden bed, there is a Greek tortoise. All the animals love dandelions, so you are welcome to feed them if you wish.
The plot is shared with the owner. A new road is currently being built, which may cause some noise at times. However, it is not disturbing and cannot be heard inside the cottage.
The cottage is equipped with a shower and WC. There is a sauna in the house, but unfortunately it cannot be used, as it serves as a storage room.
The kitchen has a new cooker with oven, a new extractor fan, a new dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, cutlery, glasses, crockery, plates and everything else normally found in a kitchen.
Free Wi-Fi is included. TV channels are streamed by the guests themselves. There are two TVs, one in the bedroom and one in the living room.
The living room has a seating area with a sofa, which can also be used as a sofa bed, armchairs and a chaise longue, as well as a TV with Chromecast. In front of the house there is a garden with outdoor furniture.
The pool may be used by agreement. The spa bath/hot tub may not be used.
The owner speaks some English. Electricity is included.
The distance to Eskilstuna is about 20 km. There are bus connections, for example bus lines 19 or 701.
Just behind the house, in the forest, you will find Vilsta Nature Reserve. Some parts are being restored as wetlands. There are illuminated walking and running trails nearby. In addition, the Sörmlandsleden hiking trail can be reached within about 1 km. This trail stretches through large parts of Södermanland.
