An authentic Swedish idyll in the province of Östergötland, absolutely fantastic undisturbed location. Well-renovated (2014) croft with its own beach yard in its own bay in Lake Sommen. The house has two lovely patios, one under a roof and a large wonderful lawn with plenty of space for play, grilling and socializing. Garden furniture and barbeque grill are on site as well as a swing for the children, near an open paddock (with sheep / lambs). To the nearest neighbor it is about 200 meters (vacation home), 1 km to permanent residents. Road to the cabin. The cabin is equipped with running hot and cold water, shower, WC and a washing machine. Wood-fired sauna is in the guest house / sauna house below the main house. Dry toilet is available in a shed (as a complement). In the kitchen there is a wood stove, a stove with oven, fridge / freezer, microwave oven, coffee maker, cutlery, glasses, crockery, plates and other things that are usually in a kitchen. High chair available. The living room has comfortable furniture and a TV. There is also a tiled stove for cozy evenings. Internet: Can be arranged for a fee. There are also two stoves upstairs. There is a guest house included in the price. It is only 30 meters to the lake , here there is a dock with a swimming ladder down to the sandy bottom. It is also possible to fish here (fishing license: http://www.ifiske.se/fiskekort-sommen.htm). The fish that are fished are perch, pikeperch, pike and trout / char. Here there is also a rowing boat that you can use. For a fee, you can rent an engine for the boat. Two German PRIJON kayaks can be rented. Two bicycles are included in the price.
Tourists attractions
Sommen is one of Sweden's larger clearwater lakes and has an archipelago - like environment with almost 300 islands. Astrid Lindgren's world 100 km. The nearest golf course is about 20 km from the cabin.
About fishing
To the lake it is only 25 meters, here there is a dock with a swimming ladder down to the sandy bottom. Here there is also a rowing boat that you can use.

The house is in a wonderful spot by the lake. The location is extremely quiet and relaxing. The house has everything you need on a vacation.
A trip by boat from the house is highly recommended. If you love the sauna, you can use it directly in the neighboring building.
The hosts are very friendly, uncomplicated and communicate quickly if something is pending.
The price-performance ratio is ok but for us it shouldn't be more.
The shops are within 10 minutes by car in Boxholm.
If we are drawn to this area again, we would come back.

The lake is very nice, the location is very nice and the host is very polite.
We came with our own 2 fishing boats in a group of 4. The host was unable to help with the exact location of the public slip and we had to search for it ourselves. On the top, unfortunately, the quay is not suitable for mooring two boats, and there are no mooring buoys.
The house is large, with a large number of places to sleep, but a small boiler is not adapted to serve such a number of people. Four people could not shower one after the other because a too small boiler could not provide that much hot water. If we add to this the lack of a dishwasher and washing the dishes by hand with cold water, it becomes uncomfortable.
My overall assessment is good, this place is close to being great, but it's not yet.
