The cabin was built in the middle of the 19th century and much of the charm and croft feel is preserved. The cabin is located on a hill in the forest with a private and unobtrusive location. In front of the cabin there is an open glade with old cherry trees and apple trees which are traces of the old pastures that once surrounded the cabin. It is possible to see wildlife from the enclosed deck. 800 meters from the cabin is the host family's farm, if you are a larger party there is the opportunity to rent the small cabin 2141. On the farm, there are chickens, sheep, two cats, and a dog. It is possible to buy both eggs, lamb meat, seasonal vegetables and fish (fresh or smoked) as Anders (the host) is a professional fisherman in Lake Sommen. It is about 1.5 km to Lake Sommen which includes a private dock and the possibility of swimming. A small swimming area with the possibility of child-friendly swimming is located at the small lake which is about 800 meters from the cabin.
