This accommodation is ideal for larger families or groups wanting to vacation together. It features two fully equipped houses just 50 feet apart and a furnished one-room summerhouse, providing ample space for guests to enjoy each other's company while still having their own private areas. Altogether, the cottages comfortably sleep 10 people, with space for an additional 3 guests.

The red house includes a wood-burning stove to keep you warm on chilly evenings, while the garden offers a fire pit for cozy outdoor gatherings.

Located just 0.4 miles from the ocean on the east coast of Orust, a picturesque island in the heart of Bohuslän, the houses are set on large, private grounds perfect for games or relaxation. A quiet side road ensures a tranquil atmosphere. The nearest beach is less than a 10-minute walk away and offers a secluded spot with a jetty for jumping into the water, a sandy area for wading, and opportunities to fish for crabs.

Your rental includes access to a small, easy-to-use motorboat with a 15-HP outboard motor, perfect for exploring the many nearby uninhabited islands or for fishing trips. You can even catch mackerel right off the jetty! On long summer evenings, take the boat across the fjord to Ljungskile to enjoy a meal at the Mussel Bar or Lyckorna Brygga, or head to Slussen, just north of the property.

Red House

This charming, traditional cottage with low ceilings includes:

  • Living room with TV, DVD player, stereo, and a cozy wood-burning stove
  • A double bedroom leading to an outdoor deck with table and chairs, accessible from both the bedroom and the front door

  • A bedroom with a twin bed and a small single bed

Gray House

• Ground Floor:
  • A spacious combined sitting room (with TV) and fully equipped kitchen (no dishwasher)
  • A large deck surrounding the house, featuring a lounge set and an extending table that seats up to 12
  • A shower room with toilet and a washing machine
• Upstairs:
  • A double bedroom
  • A large room with two twin beds and a single bed
  • A double sofa bed located in the downstairs lounge area

Guesthouse

The insulated summerhouse in the garden features a 48-inch (120 cm) bed.

The houses are perfectly located for exploring many of Bohuslän's top tourist attractions. The city of Gothenburg is just over an hour away and offers a wealth of activities, including shopping, museums, art galleries, and Sweden's largest amusement park, Liseberg, right in the city center.

Closer to the property, you can visit Nordens Ark Zoo, the Sealife Center in Lysekil, and the Watercolor Art Gallery in Skärhamn on the nearby island of Tjörn.

We recommend that visitors have access to a car for convenience. If needed, we can assist in arranging car rentals, including airport pickup, for approximately $250 per week with 435 miles (700 km) included.

Fishing from the jetty is fine, but if you want to fish from the boat, you need to go 300 meters south.
