Description of the cabin

With an elevated location and a magical ocean view is this beautiful villa located on the High Coast listed as World Heritage. Have your breakfast everyday outside in the sun and gaze at one of the best ocean view of High Coast.

Park your car below the house, climb the stairs and enjoy!

You have terrace all around the house with nice wood chairs and a gas barbecue. Just sit back, relax and soak up the sunshine in the summer...

From the front terrace, you can look at the ocean, where you might see seals, beavers and eagles. On the back side of the cabin, the view is different but also wonderful. A nice forest with typical big rocks and stones. You may have the visit of mooses, foxes or deers...

It's also a perfect place to enjoy the view of Northern lights later in the season and in the wintertime. If it gets colder or windy, you can still enjoy the view of the forest from the veranda equipped with an electric heater.

For foodies, there are plenty of berries to pick ! The garden is full of strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and lingonberries, ready to eat or to bake with!

In the fall, you'll find nice mushrooms in the forest : chanterelles and boletus especially. Just below the house, you can get to a small private stone beach with a fireplace to share a nice moment. A few meters further there is a nice sand beach, perfect with kids and dogs.

In the summer a floating pontoon gives fun to kids. A great place to learn SUP also. You can fish from the pontoon related to the house and even have a place to park a small boat (7 m max). There is a grocery store 7 km from the house open 7/7.

Tourists attractions

You are in the middle of the High Coast, just 7 km from Skule forest National Park, 6 km from the start of the hike to Balestjärn with its fantastic view and incredible lake.

A few meters from the house you also have very nice walks in a nature reserve. The cabin also has a perfect location for those who want to go on a kayak trip to Högholmen and enjoy a typical wood sauna on the island.

The house is 8 km from the harbor where you can go by boat to Ulvön and Trysunda, wonderful islands that need to be visited...

For those who want, there is also a via ferrata at Skule mountain, about 30 minutes from the house. You can walk up to the top and have a typical Swedish coffee and enjoy the view. It is also possible in the summer to get up there with a ski lift.

The house is a 30 minute drive from Örnskoldsvik City, where you have nice restaurants, cinema, swimming pool, tree climbing (Activator in Domjö), and a skate park...

An hour from the house you can visit the High Coast Distillery and it's famous whiskey.

For those who prefer gin, Hernö Distillery is 90 minutes from Stråsundsviken. On this trip, while you're in Härnösand you can also discover Smitingen, with its sandy beach and incredible caves.

Winter time from December 25 to Easter (depending on snow conditions) the ski lift is open in Bjästabacken during school holidays, weekends and some evenings during school hours, 10 minutes' drive from the house. You can rent skis there. Perfect place to have fun.

About fishing

A very nice place for fishermen ! There are plenty of fish in the ocean just nearby the house : perch, salmon, whitefish, etc. You can also find nice fishing spots within the village, fishing licenses are available for purchase at the grocery store Köpmanholmen.
