There is a culture house which often have various events, exhibitions and café in the summer (http://www.jarnstakultur.se/) within walking distance. The hiking trail Höga Kustenleden also passes the village Järnsta and you can take that road to Lappudden, Ångslupen stjärn and the central town in Nordingrå along a forest path.

In Nordingrå you can experience everything that is typical of the High Coast Area. Here it is never far to a lookout mountain, cobblestone fields, fishing village, rapakivi granite cliffs (the granite typical of the area is often called northern gray granite), the ocean, archipelago and hidden bays. Here is the distinctive lighthouse island Högbonden which have a hostel and garden café (http://www.hogbonden.se/). You should of course visit rootsidan and skvalpudden, both of which are fantastically beautiful nature reserves by the ocean.

But in addition to all the sights and strange natural phenomena, there is also a lot to do here. There are many nice swimming areas both by the ocean and by lakes. In Bönhamn (http://www.bonhamnkajak.se/) and at Lappudden (http://www.lappudden.se/) it is possible to rent a kayak and at Lappudden it is also possible to rent a bicycle and create an experience packages. In the summer, Vågsfjärden is served by the steam locomotive Stjärn ( http://www.angbat.se/) which takes you to the permanent art installation / restaurant and the Mannaminne museum.

In Norrfällsviken there is both an 18-hole golf course and bangolf (http://www.norrfallsvikensgk.com/). Climbing and repelling excursions where no previous experience or equipment is required are arranged by Äventyrsmobilen (http://www.aventyrsmobilen.se/). In Mädan, riding tours are arranged on Islandic horses (http://www.madanislandshastar.se/) and at Ringkallen Gård/farm, tours are arranged for groups with a little more riding experience. Artists have also made a pilgrimage to Nordingrå for the special light and the dramatic nature. Here you can follow in the footsteps of Helmer Osslund and Thage Nordholm and experience their landscape paintings in real life. Even today, many artists and artisans live and work in Nordingrå and in the summer the studios and galleries open up. Perhaps the county's most beautiful display garden, Villa Fraxinus, is also located in Nordingrå and is well worth a visit.
