Description of the cabin

Beautifully located accommodation between Kolmården and Astrid Lindgren's world. The cabin is located in a very scenic environment with lake views from the garden, walking distance to the lake with swimming and a sauna, hiking trail next to the house. The cabin is combined with another cabin in a twin house from the 18th century, object no. 1103, located in a small church village in the beautiful Uknadalen about 12 km south of Åtvidaberg in a de-stressing natural environment. In both cabins there is a well-equipped kitchen for self-catering, living room, shower room with a toilet and a small porch. There are 6 beds in a small double bedroom and in a larger bedroom there is a 2-bed sofa and 2 single beds. WIFI is available. For rent primarily per week.

About 10 minutes walk to the swimming area with a dock, fireplace and windbreak. It is possible to rent a wood-burning sauna and a simple rowing boat.

Rod fishing and angling for own use within a limited area in the lake. Berries and mushrooms are plentiful during the season, if there's plenty of rain.

Riding an Icelandic horse is available approx. 2 km, the guest can book via www.tingetorpsislandshastar.se

Tourists attractions

Gärdserum, which is located in northern Uknadalen, is a very beautiful natural and cultural area with Östgötaleden and the forest close to the house. High mountains with nice viewpoints and large cliffs with beautiful views. Storån meanders through bird-rich marshland areas between several lakes in Uknadalen. Some tips on day trips: Kolmården Zoo, Astrid Lindgren's World, Old Linköping, Malmens Air force museum, golf courses are available in Åtvidaberg, Söderköping and Linköping, Sankt Anna, Gryt, Gamleby and Västervik's archipelago.
