Description of the cabin

The house is located high up with beautiful views of Lake Mälaren from inside the house and out in the garden. Here you can enjoy nature and tranquility, in a child-friendly vacation home area. The front of the house offers a large patio with sun from morning to evening, with the sunset towards Lake Mälaren. Barbeque grill and other amenities to enjoy wonderful summer evenings are available.

In summer you can enjoy sunbathing and swimming on the child-friendly sandy beach a few hundred meters below the house. The swimming area is well maintained and offers a raft, swings and barbeque area.

In winter, you can relax in the wood-burning sauna or cuddle in front of the fireplace.

The house is located next to nature and offers wonderful forest walks with plenty of mushrooms, berries and a rich wildlife.

Tourists attractions

• 10 minutes drive or 40 minutes forest walk to Taxinge castle.
• 15 minutes to Mångfaldens Hus (Cafe & Deli) in Nykvarn.
• 25 minutes to Mariefred.
• Stockholm's inner city is only about 50 minutes away.

Even though the weather wasn't that nice or summer warm anymore, we took some trips to nearby locations like Stockholm, Södertälje, Trosa, Mariefred and few more! The house itself is located a bit outside in the forest next to a few other houses - close to lake Mälaren - you have to drive a bit to get to the next city but that's normal if you choose a house a bit away from larger cities and instead enjoy the nature & silence there; very nice! A small beach is located a few meters away as well but it was too cold & windy for us to swim there. The house itself is well equipped with everything you need and 6-7 guests can sleep very comfy. Perfect for 2 adults with some kids for example. New kitchen & equipment, washing machine, large cooler and more. The included sauna ("bastu") is very nice as well: You fire up the oven with some wood logs and 1h later it's hot and ready. No TV and no WiFi but that's even better because we like to sit together and play some board or card games instead ;) Enough mobile data coverage for those who need it... Nice contact as well - Can highly recommend it if this is what you're looking for!
