Småland 688 - Nice farm house with excellent fishing and swimming by the large lake Åsunden

Rural cabin in a genuine Swedish summer idyll. The cabin is fully equipped and has many rooms with plenty of space even for a larger party. In front of the house you have a terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue grill, here you can enjoy the Swedish summer evenings.

Lake Åsunden is located about 300 m from the cabin. The lake is 14,800 acres big and here you can go both swimming and fishing. To the lake you continue down the small gravel road that passes in front of the cabin. Here is a nice sandy beach and dock.

The owner's aluminum motorboats that he rents out are located at the dock, perfect for fishing or a pleasure trip on the lake.

You are welcome to use the landlords private parking down by the lake.

Final cleaning is mandatory done by a cleaning company, it costs SEK 1000 and is paid on arrival.

Here you get to both live and experience the countryside, If you are several families who are going on vacation together in Sweden the two cabins next door are also available for rent - see picture. It is cabin 689 and cabin 1415.

Starting in 2025, a new rule will apply on Lake Åsunden:
To protect the excellent fish population and promote an authentic fishing experience, the use of live sonars (devices that show real-time images of fish) will no longer be allowed.
Simple fish finders that only display the bottom and depth will still be permitted.
This way, the lake will remain a paradise for all anglers in the future!

Here is a large selection of attractions: Vimmerby and Astrid Lindgren's world about 45 km from the cabin, World of glass, the wild west city High Chaparral, Kolmårdens animal park and very nice fishing for fishing enthusiasts. Kisa about 20 km from the cabin.

About 3 km from the cabin there is a municipal swimming area with a diving tower, beach & docks. There is also a nice Café that serves coffee, pastries, sandwiches, light food, beer & wine m.m.

The fish you can catch in Lake Åsunden are pike, perch, pikeperch, eel, vendace, burbot, bream & tench, fishing license required, only household fishing is allowed.
