Description of the cabin
A very charming house located in the middle of a scenic quiet and peaceful nature reserve, mushrooms, berries and a lake are around the corner. Here is a large garden, own beach and dock and about 800m to the nearest neighbor. No passing road. The house has been completely renovated but the old cozy croft feel has been preserved. There is several different garden furniture to enjoy yourself in. First floor: Hallway, kitchen, living room with TV, dining table and sofa bed. Bathroom with toilet, shower and washing machine. Large patio at the back of the house, one part with roof and one part without. Second floor: Nice bedroom, 1 double bed and 2 single beds. TV room with sofa and armchairs. Bed linen and towels / beach towels can be rented. Smoking is prohibited due to allergy
Tourists attractions
The area is known for its rich outdoor life with extremely good fishing, canoeing, cycling and hiking opportunities. There are plenty of mushrooms and berries here. In the area there are small farm shops, cafes and flea markets. Only 1 km from the farm there is a small hostel and a summer café open where you can buy light lunches, coffee and ice cream. You have about 35 km to Gekås in Ullared which is Sweden's most popular destination if you want to spend a day of really good shopping. Borås is also known for good and cheap shopping, e.g. clothes, shoes, home textiles. Here is a textile museum, Borås zoo, public pool house etc. You are not far to the ocean and the west coast's long sandy beaches in Falkenberg, Varberg or Halmstad. About an hour's journey you are in Gothenburg, here you have Ullevi sport stadium, Liseberg amusement park, Scandinavium, Universeum, lots of museums, theaters, cinemas and more.
About fishing
Lake Fegen is located where the province of Halland, Småland and Västergötland meet and the more than 30km long lake offers shallow bays, large depths, narrow bays, large open "floar", many islands, smooth cliffs and wonderful sandy beaches. The lake has good water quality and no less than 17 different fish species and is world-unique for the fish vendace which spawns in the spring time. There is also an interesting bird life here. Lake Fegen is a nature reserve and Natura 2000 area. Fishing license required.
