Our cabins in the province of Västergötland are located inland on the West Coast of Sweden. Västergötland borders Sweden's 2 largest lakes, Lake Vänern and Lake Vättern. This is a paradise for fishing enthusiasts and many of those who rent a cabin here are surprised by the large selection of fishing. In addition to the many nice fishing cabins we offer, here you will also find both bays, rivers and lakes. The selection of fish is large and many restaurants offer seafood, and both fresh and smoked fish.
Västergötland has an area of 3140 km2 and 675,000 inhabitants.
The landscape borders Småland in the southeast and Halland in the southwest. To the west, Västergötland borders the Kattegat, the West Coast and Bohuslän, to the north the landscape borders Vänern, Dalsland and Värmland and to the east Vättern and Närke.
