Description of the cabin

Treat yourself to a wonderful vacation in a small red cabin with white trimmings and a large terrace in the province of Småland in Sweden.
The cabin is located 150 meters from the large lake Bolmen. Bolmen has 365 islands and is famous for its fishing waters.
In front of the cabin you have a lovely garden with garden furniture and a barbeque grill.

Free wifi.

There is a guest house which is included in the price, also a washing machine. The bathroom is small.

It's only 150 m to lake Bolmen. The lake is suitable for both swimming and fishing. The beach is child friendly. About 250 m from the cabin is a rowing boat that you can use for a trip on the lake.

Engine for the rowing boat is available for rent for SEK 1400 / week. A nice 35 hp motor boat is available for rent - good seamanship is required for rental of the boat, SEK 3,000 / week.

Ljungby is about 15 km from the cabin.

Tourists attractions

Laganland = Moose park 15 km, where you also find the nearest golf course. Pay and play an 18-hole course if you have a golf-green card.
Hamneda = Ellinge moosepark 35 km
Vimmerby = Astrid Lindgren's world 200 km.
High chaparral = western city 70 km.
Älmhult = Ikea 60 km.
Agunnaryd = Paddle in Helge stream which flows out into lake Möckeln. There is also the Vedåsa nature reserve which has nice hiking trails 35 km.

About fishing

Lake Bolmen has 365 islands and is famous for its fishing waters. The most common fish species for anglers are pike, pikeperch, perch, but also burbot, eel, tench and salmon trout can be caught in the lake. Fishing license.

The camping furniture and the seat cushions on the terrace have seen better days. In the house everything is there and also clean. The toilet takes some getting used to. Very narrow, narrow and you first have to sit on the side and then turn in. But you have to go through the other person's bedroom to get to the toilet. On the TV we only had media libraries and no TV channels. According to his statement, the landlord did not receive 3 text messages translated into Swedish. And afterwards he didn't explain it to us either. Otherwise he is very friendly. The motor boat he rented us was very good but a bit pricey.

Uncomplicated key collection and key delivery, unobtrusive landlord, but still available when you need him. Deck chairs are available, but they need to be cleaned, and the same goes for the upholstery on the furniture in front of the house. The cleanliness of the house itself was fine.

The very first evening we saw a doe that had placed its fawns right behind the property, so you can tell the idyllic location. I caught 2 pike and a pike-perch on the first evening, and the angler's heart shone 😉 Ljungby is 15 minutes from the cabin and also worth visiting.
