Description of the cabin

This nice cabin is adorably located by a lake in the province of Skåne.

The house was renovated in 2024, both exterior and interior, including a new roof.
In front of the cabin you have a terrace with garden furniture and a barbeque grill. From the living room and the yard you have a view of Osbysjön which is located about 60 m from the cabin. The landlord lives in the same yard. By the lake there is a private swimming area where there is both a rowing boat and a canoe.

1 km from the cabin there is a campsite with public swimming area and mini golf course. 4 km from the cabin there is a laundry room with a vending machine.

Tourists attractions

It is about 30 km to Hässleholm. Älmhult with IKEA 20 km. The Öresund trains from Copenhagen / Malmö stop in Osby.

To Osby with i.a. fine organic market trade, it is approx. 3 km.
Train connection to Stockholm.

About fishing

You can fish in the lake without a fishing license. Fish: pike, perch, pikeperch, trout and carp. All carp should be released back into the water and handled as carefully as possible. Caught pike, larger than 100 cm must also be returned to the water.

	Dana B. (Westhof) Date: 04.08.2025 5 / 5 We felt very comfortable and really liked the house. The host, Mrs. Anna, is a very kind lady (but speaks ONLY Swedish). The terrace faces the lake, and since we had great weather, we could use it every day. Also wonderful is the short path down to the lake with a private jetty, boat, and canoe. The lake is perfect for swimming, as you can wade far out. Rowing on the lake at sunset is a dream. We’ll be back.

A cake was baked for us and left in the fridge as we didn't arrive until after midnight. Osby is a lovely little town with plenty of opportunities for walking, bicycling 🚲 and swimming/rowing in the lake.
