Description of the cabin

Traditional West Coast cabin situated on one and a half floors, built in 2014. The house is located in a quiet area on a cul-de-sac with ocean views towards west and east with morning and evening sun on 2 patios and a balcony. Ball field and playground are nearby. There is internet via fiber in the house. Private parking space for 4 cars adjacent to the house.

Tourists attractions

Havstenssund is a genuinely vibrant but a quiet fishing community. Boat traffic through the strait is an attraction in itself. Walking distance to a swimming area and swimming from cliffs, grocery store, fish shop, Bar and Restaurant. 8 km to Grebbestad with its range of stores, liquor stores and lively tourist attractions. Both open and protected archipelago and nice hiking trails as well as bike paths to Tjurpannans nature reserve. Mountain top with a view over the horizon and a deep gorge to hike through.

Environmentally friendly Vacation

At this cabin you can have a climate-smart vacation and travel to the vicinity of your vacation home without your own car, instead travel there with public transportation. The bus stop is located outside the house. Train station is Tanum with connecting buses.

About fishing

For fishing with a rod from rocks or dock about 200 meters from the cabin. Boat ramp for launching in the community and the opportunity to rent a boat provided access via an external person.

Good location, perfect with playground around the corner, close to swimming, restaurant and a small shop. We bought fresh bread in the store every morning. Large lawn with soccer goal. The hosts were very nice. Missing nothing in the house, might have wanted a baby gate by the stairs in that case. Easy to go to Grebbestad for a little more shops etc. We are very happy with the stay!
