Log house by the ocean in Höga Kusten
We welcome you to stay by the ocean in the UNESCO World Heritage High Coast. Combine a fantastic nature with only 20 km to a small town. In the summer, it is sunny from morning to evening on the terrace. Directly behind the house you'll find a path that leads to a nature reserve with deer, fox, squirrel, and both lake and forest birds and with a mile-long view of the beautiful northern part of the High Coast archipelago.
The house sits on a nature site with pines, heather and blueberry bushes. The area is quiet and peaceful with about 20 small and quaint vacation homes and also a few permanent residents. A narrow single dirt road leads to the area and ends there, so there is no through traffic.
The ocean is 150 meters from the cabin, with a sandy beach and a large communal dock with both a swimming ladder and a wood-burning sauna. Within bicycling or walking distance there are other child-friendly swimming spots, some so secluded that you can have them all to yourself.
4 km walk to restaurant.
The nearest grocery store is 14 km from the cabin and if you go 5 km further to Örnsköldsviks city center you'll find an ICA grocery store, a big Coop grocery store and all other services.
The main house and the attefalls-house that you can also rent has a total area of about 110 sqm, including a loft.
The area of the house is 85 m2, including the loft, and there is a living room with a sitting area, a dining table, a fireplace and a kitchen. In addition there is a wc, a shower and a washing machine and also a bedroom with a 180 cm bed.
The loft has a sofa, a desk and three 90 cm beds. There is a total of 5 beds in the large house.

It can be rented through the whole year but has only water available between the middle of May to the middle of October. The attefalls-house can only be rented if the bigger house is rented too.

Take the boat to Ulvön island and Trysunda which are fishing villages from the 17th century. If you want to explore the archipelago on your own, jet skis are available for rent, remember to book in advance.
- Berries: Blueberries are found in the yard and in the woods just behind the house. Feel free to pick a plate for breakfast. We know where the best wild raspberry areas are within cycling distance. Lingonberries are also available. it require a few miles in the car to pick Cloudberries at the bogs.
- Climbing: Europe's largest Via Ferrata area is located on Skuleberget. There are four trails to safely get up a 250 m high rock wall, the easiest is suitable for beginners. There is a cable car on the other side of the mountain for a more comfortable way to reach the top.
- Sports: You reach two 18-hole golf courses after only 20 - 40 minutes by car. Tennis and paddle are even closer. You can also try horseback riding, adventure golf and go-karts for a change. If you love the ocean, sea kayaks and SUP are available for rent. We can also recommend a nice canoe trail.
- Hiking: Lengths between 4 and 20 km starting directly from the house. Höga Kusten Leden is 128 km long divided into 13 stages, and Arnäsleden is 70 km and divided into 8 stages. Skuleskogen National Park is only 40 km from the cabin.
- Winter time: There are 2 alpine areas and trails for cross-country skiing within a 45 minute drive. On the high mountains there are snow-safe areas for comfortable skiing with well-kept trails.
